Getting the right builder for your project is probably the biggest design decision you’ll make. With that in mind we met several before deciding on BNS. And we definitely got our decision right - here’s why.
We didn’t have an architect and neither my wife nor I had done a project like this before. We were removing a supporting wall, moving the kitchen by 2 rooms, replacing a roof, and putting a new glass back on the house - so a big project. From the start Ben and Sophie (the “B” and “S” in the name) were lovely to work with. They listened to our ideas and even helped us refine a couple of them. Throughout the build, they invited us to ask as many questions as we wanted - this was great as we had lots. So every morning we could talk through the work that day and understand everything they would be doing. As we were renovating a 1906 house, we expected some unforeseen costs to pop up. What BnS did brilliantly here, was always understand our restricted budget. They gave us different costs for different things and often recommended the least costly if they thought it was the best for our project. This was very important to us as it meant we could fully trust them to have our project and our finances front of mind. Even months after the build, they have not disappeared. They often text us to see if they can pop round and do the snags. Every element of the project has been professional and handled by human beings that care. The craftsmanship is exemplary beaten only by their warm and understanding approach to their clients. We met Ben and Sophie from BNS through a neighbour who was using them and I cannot recommend them enough.
They completed a structural refurbishment at my property including taking out a load bearing wall, re-plastering, upgrading the plumbing and electrics, fixing up the flooring and the windows which had not been finished previously to a good standard as well as numerous smaller items.
They listened to my ideas and understood and respected all the things that were important to me in my home.
Every person on the team was polite, friendly and approachable and they made sure that everything was clean and tidy before leaving each day.
We have lots more work on our wishlist for our home and I cannot imagine using another company after the experience we had with BNS.

A wonderful experience with BNS Construction on our single storey extension. The team were simply fantastic and their attention to detail, care and professionalism was first class. We are so happy and they were wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking about undertaking this kind of work. Ben is a Rolls Royce of a man. A future titan in his field and someone i could not recommend highly enough. Ben has worked diligently and tenaciously through viewing multiple properties & always providing his honest opinion and knowledge, to the purchase & refurbishment of my dream/family home. All the above was facilitated and accomplished under COVID restrictions and a heavy stamp duty relief backlog. Despite some of the issues being complex and with conflicting agendas Ben & his team were able to navigate all matters with ease and the upmost professionalism. Professionalism being the key word as all staff were always uniformed, building & health & safety rules were always adhered to. Ben treats your home likes his own home & you can see this through due diligence. Ben has countless contacts & no matter the query he can facilitate your request or put you in touch with someone that can. Ben effectively liased with different organisations and professionals with ease and was on hand to answer any queries within the hour. Despite being an outstanding builder Ben is humble, approachable and discerning. Massive thanks to his entire (especially Anton & Almir) team who were always courteous & kind, paying attention to details & able to remedy any issues that arose. Please do not hesitate requesting BNS service. My architect recommended BNS for the building of a new extension on my house and refurbishment of an existing room.  The team that carried out the work was reliable and skilled. We had the pleasure of working with Ben and his team for the refurbishment of our 3 bedroom house (New driveway, new porch, two chimney removals, entire house re-wired and plastered, new radiators fitted, internal/external painting and complete modernisation). I must say it was a very smooth relationship from start to finish, we were consulted along the way. The workmanship and attention to detail is incredible. A very highly skilled team led by Ben. Ben is able to provide innovative solutions to problems, he really helped us with our design and build. When I was looking for a builder I was very nervous from past experiences but having worked with Ben and team I can say we will certainly be using them in the future and recommend to anyone looking for a new builder. Ben’s team have just finished renovating our house and we could not speak more highly of everyone involved - it was such a positive experience! From an itemised quote that came through very quickly, to the organisation of the build, management of costs, the quality of the work and to top it off the team could not have been more professional, polite and friendly. We are genuinely sad the job is over and we don’t get to see them all every day! Thank you BNS! The whole team are extremely professional, from the office staff right down to the painters. They were respectful and you can see that they take pride in what they do.
